Pretty medieval manuscript of the day is another beauty from the Walters Museum. From a book known as the Cologne Psalter-Hours. It dates from the late fifteenth century, and is lavishly illuminated with gold leaf. This page is an initial B, containing illustrations of the Ascension, and Pentecost.
